I love the Elder Scrolls games. Took a break from fighting dragons to put together these dragon-based brownies!
Two packages of brownie mix (or can double your favorite brownie recipe)
White frosting (I used buttercream)
2 cups white candy melts
1 cup chocolate candy melts
The ingredients are for six brownies and eight Skyrim logos. This gives a little wiggle room if a couple of your Skyrim logos go awry.
Other things you’ll want to have on hand: seal-able plastic bags, wax paper, and toothpicks. You’ll also need two pans (8″x8″ or 8″x11″).
Print out the Skyrim logo and tape to a cookie sheet. Here’s the PDF that I used.
Tape wax paper over the logo.
Add the chocolate candy melts into a bowl and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, and repeat for another 30 seconds until completely melted.
Scoop the candy melts into a seal-able plastic bag. Seal and trim just the tip off.
Trace over the outline of the logo. Use a toothpick to nudge the chocolate into the finer points.
I found that my candy melts began to harden after filling in after two dragons, so I would squeeze the candy melts back into the bowl, reheat, and then fill another bag. Once the candy hardens it becomes near impossible to draw.
Allow the chocolate to harden. Should only take 30 minutes or so.
Melt the white candy melts the same way you did the chocolate, mixing every 30 seconds after heating in the microwave.
Scoop the white candy melts into another bag and snip off a corner of the bag. You can cut off a much bigger corner this time.
Outline the dragons and fill in. The reason for giving a white background to the logo is so the finer points of the chocolate will not break off. There is a method to the madness! Speaking of madness, Sheogorath’s quest bambazooled me for awhile.
Allow to set, about an hour.
Bake your brownies and allow them to cool. If you bake brownies in a 8″x8″ pan, you will get two logos out of the batch. If you bake the brownies in a 8″x11″ pan, you can cut the pan into fourths. I ended baking both a 8″x8″ and a 8″x11″ pan. The 8″x8″ pan brownies were much thicker, I liked those more. Hard to go wrong with more brownie.
Take a giant brownie and frost.
Place a logo on top of the brownie.
Trim the corners off the brownies to match the shape of the logo.
Makes six giant brownies!
