Buttery biscuits with the Half-Life logo.
This request for comes from Papaboo, who is puzzling his way through Half-Life and writing about it on his site, how do i play game? – Adventures of a Non-Gamer.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/3 cup vegetable shortening
1/3-2/3 cup milk
1 egg white
Preheat oven to 425ºF!
Pour the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar into a bowl. Use a whisk to mix everything together.

Create a well into the mixture and pour in 1/3 cup of milk. Give the mixture a stir or two, just to get the milk mixed in a bit.

Add shortening and use your hands to incorporate the shortening and the milk. If it’s too dry, add a bit more milk. Only mix the dough until it comes together.

Dust down some flour and kneed six times. Don’t go bonkers with kneading the dough, as this will make for tougher biscuits.

Roll out dough to 1/2″ thickness. Cut into biscuits and place on a cookie sheet.

Using your fingers, roll out tiny snakes to create the Half-Life logo, and place on top of the biscuit.

Brush egg white on top of the biscuits. The egg wash helps with giving the biscuits their golden brown top.

Makes about a dozen biscuits, depending on the size of your biscuit butter. I had ten biscuits and enough leftover for a tiny headcrab biscuit.

That headcrab is too cute! Thanks for sharing!
