Chocolate cupcakes with hints of orange in the cupcake and the frosting.
With 3D Realms recently going under and the recent lawsuit by Take-Two against 3DR for not coming up with a game, I have a solution for this unhappy situation in the game development world. That solution is: cupcakes! Okay, it’s only a temporary solution, but cupcakes make everyone happy, and the more happiness the better I say.
Ingredients:
Box of chocolate cake mix
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 eggs
1/4 cup butter
1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for frosting:
Cream cheese frosting
2 teaspoons grated orange rind
Preheat oven to 350°F!
Mix together the chocolate cake mix, eggs, orange juice, butter, and vanilla extract.

Microwave the chocolate chips 10 seconds at a time until melted. Or, you can do what I did; I zapped the chocolate chips until they were mostly melted. This way the cupcakes would have tiny bits of chocolate in them.
Add the chocolate chips to the cake mix and stir.
Spoon the mix into the cupcake pan. Fill the containers so they’re about 3/4 of the way full.

Bake for 16-18 minutes or until a toothpick poked in a cupcake comes out clean.
Allow the cupcakes to cool.
For the frosting, grate two teaspoons of orange rind. Add the orange rind to the cream cheese frosting and mix well.

This is completely optional, but you’d like, you can add a touch of yellow food coloring for a bit more color.

Pour frosting into a plastic bag. Cut a tiny hole in one corner of the bag.
To draw the nuke symbol, draw the circle in the middle of the cupcake first. Then, draw two diagonal lines on one section of the cupcake, like shown below.

Fill in the lines.

Draw the trapezoid pattern twice more to complete the cupcake.
Repeat design for all cupcakes.
The orange in the frosting and cupcakes gives them a refreshing kick, and, as my sister once said, chocolate solves all problems!
that is awesome! 😀
thanks!
This is my NEW FAVORITE SITE. My hubby is just going to love these tasty treats!
